Tom Lee Predicts Bitcoin Pricing
Tom Lee, a prominent Bitcoin bull, expresses an upbeat prognosis that the price of Bitcoin could reach $250,000 in 2025. He announced this daring forecast during a recent CNBC interview.
Lee presumed that much of the drive for Bitcoin’s upsurge will come from welcoming governmental regulations. Investors, however, should consider increasing their Bitcoin holdings by the end of 2025.
Lee argues on the positive side of Ethereum’s (ETH) journey too, estimating that it could reach as high as 6,000 dollars. He also keeps 2025 open as a possible time of “all season,” which could occur, among others, between such alternative cryptocurrencies as Solana.
Earlier, he had declared that Bitcoin would shoot to $150,000 within the 2024 timeframe. Notably, this year, the cryptocurrency managed $108,135 as the peak and is currently exchanging at $98,148. Just a few days remain until the end of 2024, so this target appears very much like a lost cause now.
In November, Lee said that Bitcoin might become a Treasury reserve asset at some later point to offset the government deficit. For him, $250,000 is within the realm of reality for a normal halving cycle, but it could go much higher were the U.S. to take on Bitcoin as a reserve asset.
This idea has triggered debates with some of the critics vehemently opposing the idea. Meanwhile, Polymarket bettors see a 32% chance of a strategic reserve being created by early 2025.
